This is some kind of Chinese algae/seaweed beauty mask that is supposedly very good for the skin. It looked kind of dirty so it was a real challenge to make it look good...

Superbly composed and framed shot, and hilarious to boot! Maybe you didn't make the mud "look good" but you sure made a captivating photograph of it. The DOF and exposure choices were well thought out.

Great detail and an unusual perspective result in a wonderful composition. The mud looks almost appetizing. :-) LOL.

You didn't have to make it look
"good"; it's a great shot; the upside-down face under the mud makes for a great abstraction. I was particularly drawn to the eyelashes, growing up like little irises (yes, from the eyes!) in the muddy field. Lighting and color are fine.

hmmm...
does the mud mask make the eyes and lips seem more beautiful, or do the beautiful eyes and lips make the mask seem more interesting?
I feel the urge to reach out and wipe the one little dab of mud from the lips, but otherwise, an excellent shot.
