You have showed that the lens will work well under the conditions that you shot this picture in. Very good. It brings to mind a poem my Grandpa used to quote. I do not know who wrote it.

Steve, absolutely beautiful lighting. Nice colors. Pelicans beak/bill is tack sharp. You should be proud of this one.

Sharp as, and tightly framed.
Great work, Steve. Love the hooked yellow tip of the bill. A photo to show just how good looking the Aussie pelican is compared to his brown northern hemispherean cousin. But this bloke doesn't do the spectacular aerial dives that the brown fellow does. Red catchlight - unusual. Regards.
