This is such a fantastic capture of your son Jean. Absolutely wonderful image that brings smiles to my lips and eyes. I hate to say it but I also wish that all of his mom's head was visible in the frame instead of the empty space above your beautiful son's head. Its still a magnificent capture of your son though.

A beautiful B&W with lots of happy emotion! Also agree about the space.

Jean, I agree with Eugene about the cropping. Apart from that: wonderful! The expressions on the faces of mother and child are perfect!

I also like the conversion very much.

Top photo! Yep show some more of mum's face/head :) Taking good photos of children is certainly a difficult task!

Don´t agree ...

with those who wish to see more from mother´s head. For me you can see just enough from her and the child is in the middle. With her fully head it could be an imbalance between her and him.

So I like it as it is, espec the clear BG and the expression on his little face.

Thank's everyone…

for the kind word and suggestions… i'm happy with the part of mum in this one, i shot it like it is and only felt the need to add some black at the upper part to make it square. The only thing that doesn't make it a perfect shot for me is the lightning, but hey, it was a spontaneous one, not a set up studio shot.
