Awesome

This is about the best portrait I've seen on this site. If you don't mind I'd like a more eloborate explanation (that is, one I can understand) how you do things like that.

Is this you?

Found this on the web:

Is this you? It certainly is your style and league.

Brilliant!

Very pleasing composition, great expression. The lighting works well.

Same as Wolfgang, I should be very grateful for a more detailed explanation. How did you get the hair moving (hair dryer..)?

Thanks for sharing! Yvonne

Thanks for the comments!

I used a big industrial fan for the blowing effect. A Profoto 15 inch ring flash was faced slightly to her left and a large white reflector very close to the right of her. Also a bare bulb blasting a white bkgrd about 10 feet away... does this help??? I think having a beautiful little sister is a huge help in the process too!

Most excellent

I don't understand how this image has only 3 ratings (until mine). Everything works in this image. On to the hall of fame for this excellent image!

As a side note, I think it would be wonderful for this community to have more comments about images from members. Why is everyone so shy? I hope this changes.

NO SUBJECT

One beautiful image Matthew. Yes it does help to have a beautiful subject but without the talent behind the camera it will never show to its full potential. Whether or not it is technically perfect I don't have the expertise to comment but how it rates in my eyes it is perfect.
