Hurst Spit
Five hand held images stitched. It is a long walk out to the castle and that gravel is hard to walk on too, low conversion of effort to motion! I hoped to show the enormity of the spit. Sea to the right, Isle of Wight ahead, Keyhaven and sheltered salt marshes to the left, Hurst castle and lighthouse at the end. http://www.myhome.uk.com/P4010297_10d_big.jpgis the full size image, it is ~3Mb!

I think I can hear Nora's feet crunching about in the background as I dither about here trying to decide between a 9 & 10.
I can't see all this without scrolling, but interestingly it still seems to work at all stages of scroll. This is probably because all the main elements are always in view. However the far left version doesn't show enough of that great contrast between the choppy Solent and the sheltered marshes.
The optimum viewing available to me is probably where the two distant figures are not quite 1/3 of the way across from the right.
Hmm if I start downloading the full version now it might be ready for when I get up in the morning.

Well get to bed, you silly old so in so, it is morning! Besides it helps to play the game while you're fresh.

Excellent shot.
I really like the distant figures and the layers of landscape receding into the distance. You did a pretty good job hand-held. I would like to see a shot of the same place on a stormy day - I bet that would look good but would be less attractive for a walk.

Great panoramic. You stitched the 5 photos together beautifully.

Love the 'purple' hue and sense of perspective.

Optical illusion?
There seems to be a sink in the horizon where it meets the spit. Probably an optical illusion. This is well stitchked and conceived. I think it benefits from the MFT grey BG in comparison to the full size image on a white BG. The bits of detail in the left sky are good relief from its otherwise constant appearance. That black sand/gravel looks so 'industrial'. You have succeeded in showing the relative size of the spit. The figures are a plus.
