Yellow?
Z-Man:
This is a pretty straight forward image of a much treated kind of subject. It is clear and sharp. The texture of the rocks is well done. But, on my moniter, there appears to be a slight yellow / brown cast to the falling water in some places. I wonder what might cause this.
Best wishes...joe

Re: Yellow
Joe the color in the water is caused by tannin leached from the Cedar, Spruce and Hemlock in the swamps drained by the river. Most of the rivers in my area have this color and even darker colors. Thank you for your comments.

I know this place!
The moment I saw the thumbnail for this photo (and "The Photographer"), I knew I was looking at Jacob's Creek Falls. This is one of my all time favorite spots. I have been hiking up this creek and taking photos of it (none as nice as yours...yet!) for 25 years. I will be in the area again for the 4th of July, so maybe I will be able to try the E1 out on this myself!
Taking photos of waterfalls like you have here is one of the reasons I just upgraded from the Oly C2100uz to an E1 myself. Thanks for sharing the great photos of a great spot. What a small world this is!
