I think this is a fantastic capture of light and your friend is well placed here although having said that I would be tempted to crop to the bottom of the next step up from the bottom and take a bit off the right side too but having said that the light is fantastic.

Yes, ...

the play with light is fascinating. The person is placed well and the treatment works also well for me. Not quite sure about the sky in BG, but that are only thoughts.
