nice lighting...

love the lighting here, john. i saw alot of desert crosses while in New Mexico, they can have a surreal effect of the landscape. it's hard for me to see the entire image on my laptop monitor, but I wonder if you could crop out a bit more of the shadowed area on the bottom? great shot, though. hopefully i'll be visiting big bend on my was to sante fe in august. it's going to be really hot, though...

Yes, very Hot!

I have been twice in late summer and it is a scorcher for sure. I have always enjoyed it though. I got my E-1 on 03/01/04 just 2 days before this trip. Had to learn quick with all the great things to photograph!
