here's my cousin and one of my absolutely closest friends. i might use this shot and some pictures of other members of my family to put together a 'family book' and give as xmas gifts.

how do you find this one? my intention was a as simple compo as possible, it's not cropped one bit. i've tried to crop a bit from the top and also some from the sides but i keep coming back to this..

My 2˘ worth... EXCELLENT over all! For my personal taste, perhaps a touch too contrasty, but if there is consistancy between all of the images in the portfolio there would be no problem whatsoever. And that is just an opinion about the contrast. No need to change if this pleases your vision.

The reason I say "less contrast" is because higher contrast tends to enhance flaws in skin, whether it be zits, wrinkles, moles or sunspots, even make-up. The images have a striking appearance to photographers and artists, but the person being pictured are usually not quite as happy because the images are seen as being less flattering. Grandma may remember when she was young and not like hard contrast wrinkles... and I can understand that. LOL

Gleen, Edwin, many thanks. really happy you like it!

Edwin, i think you have a point with the contrast. though not sure whether i'll change it or not. personally i prefer the high contrasty look. but most likely grandma won't share my opinion! so the question is whether to go with my ego or my compassion.

... and if i were you, i wouldn't put my money on the compassion ;)

Love the sharp, crisp detail. A strong, warm smile from a good friend.

Like I suggested im my first post, stay consistant with all the images. There might be a slight compromise that will please you and Grandma.
