I know, "Salmon Street Springs" is a dumb name for a fountain! But there was a contest years ago to name this, and the winning entry was agreed upon by a panel. My favorite name that was not chosen was, "The Fountain that Squirts Towards the Middle". LOL

Well, EEE, speaking of sunrise shots.... This is quite unusual and grabbed my attention from the thumbnail. The way the streams in the fountain are backlit makes this seem quite 3-dimensional. Frozen in time, it looks more like a sculpture than a fountain. Love that warm, early morning light. My only wish is that I might be able to view this a little larger so I could see the distinct droplets more easily.

Incredible ...

cought of the morning sun in combination with this fountain. And very convincing the shutter speed. A well done lesson for all of us :-))

Best wishes,

Bigger would mean scrolling Elisabeth... so I made it this size. This was just moments after the sun came up over Mt. Hood. :-)

Thank you Horst. I took a series of about 8 shots, and this one had the most interesting shapes in the water.

Thank you Nicholas. :-)

I thought it was a little different too. I almost submitted the montage of this, but maybe later.

Thanks to all!

Great shot, light is cumming thru beutifully. At this shutter-speed and strong light from behind, I would have thougt the fountain-water would be like a silhouette, but it really shines and sparkles. Great.

Trond, Thank you. The sunlight coming through the water was very beautiful for about 30 seconds. After that, the light was gone...

Ut does look like a twister Jeff. Had not thought about that. Thanks to you my friend.

:-)
