A nature shot at Kiana Lodge on Bainbride Island (WA). This is my first time using this camera so I went out to explore the island and just take some pictures!

The Image

is not quite sharp.

You have not included the EXIF data so it is not easy to judge if it is due to lack of DoF or if the shutter speed was slow and the wind was blowing the flower.

The main flower is cropped at the edge of the frame and that is a bit sad. It does not look deliberate, possibly due to excitement!

Also experts in flower photography, and I'm not one, say that flower photography is best done without direct sun. Those I know that do it use a net curtain and reflectors to get the subdued lighting and avoid harsh shadows. The subdued lighting then complements the soft textures and colours of the flower.
