More fun in the bath. Shot with off camera flash (diffused through a bath towel no less) Everybody go buy some cheap ebay wireless flash triggers they are so liberating in what they enable you to do. This shot for example was done with my 35mm macro at 100 iso but the lighting in my bathroom suggested that i use an f stop i dont have or boost the iso, neither options are appealing so answer is to add some light, not just any light though, nice light that will add to the depth of the image not flatten it light on camera flash does. enough ranting now but i will plug my new addiction http://www.strobist.blogspot.com for anyone that trembles at the thought of setting up an off camera flash.

I think one of the coolest things about this photo are the eyes. They are so crisp and border some where between green and brown and golden. The DOF is just right. Well done.

thanks

Thanks for the comments carl, i gotta admit i have tweaked the colors a little in photoshop ( only a little though) The DOF is great i used my 35mm macro for this, i find that i use that lens more for portaiture than macros stuff, great lens especially for the price

cheers

Great shot of a beautiful baby, Sam. Gotta love those eyes! And, the water droplets really add to the overall effect. Well done!

This is just great Sam. I especially like how your use of a flash set-up has led to capturing such a magnificent expression of spontaneity. A great, great photo... and one to confront him with in about 16 or 17 years time... ;-)

Best wishes- Andy

Thanks

Thanks for your comments, my flash setup is great once i get the exposure right i just start snapping and can really concentrate on getting that specific moment in time. Oh and FYI i have a stack of images already that are ready for when the little one turns 21 Hehe.
