Estuary

Some may think there is too much space on the right but I was trying to convey something of the expanse of the mudflats on the Humber Estuary. This is stitched from 6 separate images all at 22mm, F8, 1/60.

Adrian, I like this very much for its panoramic sweep, the way the bridge looks both delicate yet strong, the sheen of the mudflats, and the low-hanging clouds, among other things. It has a sense of mood/place that are very pleasing.
I'm less sure about the foreground and the what is going on around the edges. I find myself wanting to see what is going on to the left of the frame and also at the bottom, where that interesting V shape is cut off so abruptly. I have no advice as to how to frame or compose this differently, though.

Well that looks like a sky from this summer! People may moan, but it does lend itself for some great moody shots like this.
Perhaps it's that sky again, but in spite of the bridge I find myself imagining some Viking longboats sailing up there, perhaps on route to Yorvik.
Do I assume correctly, is this an evening shot, hence making this from the southern bank?

Adrian, this is very much to my liking! I would most probably like it cropped, but I sure like it better not cropped!. I'm of the opinion, specially with landscape scenerys, that if it gives you space....use it! You had some interesting and well added space here!!
Best regards // Ola

Thanks everyone. Elisabeth, I too share your misgivings about the lh side and the foreground. I couldn't have got a whole shot of the bridge without wading into the mud so I don't have a suggestion either. As for the V shape I can't even remember now what it was. Maybe if I'd cropped it off and you'd have been none the wiser! Thanks Dee Vee. It's very easy to do this with the software I use (panorama maker by Arcsoft). Chris, very clever deduction. This was from Barton-upon-Humber, as you correctly spotted on the southern bank or La Rive Sud as we like to call it here. Thanks for that comment Ola. Glad you appreciate the space. Thanks also to you Grant and Karl.

Very interesting and technically difficult photograph, which is excellently done! I like this image and like to see the space on the right side. The left side may be extended also - so 8 or 9 shots? ;)
