Wowser...this just takes my breath away. One of the best cloudscapes I've seen. The dull, pinkish light on the desert is almost eerie and I have a sense of unnatural calms as the storm approaches. The contrast between the brilliant white clouds and the darker clouds is my favorite part. Normally I might be bothered by lack of something more interesting in the foreground or by the way the white cloud is so centered, but it all works for me somehow. I think this is gorgeous.

I can nearly feel the giant rain drops slashing down in the foreground. Colour so moody. A real grumbling sky.

Sorry if I do not have anything more to say - simply impressive. How you balanced the exposure is superb.

Seriously awesome shot Jeff. The sense of light and distance is very strong in this scene. I can see a bit of distortion in the colours in the top left, dark area but I will assume that it is my monitor and add my 10 to the pile.

Thank you.....

All for the generous comments and ratings. They call this time of year the "Monsoons" in this area and there sure was a lot of this type of weather. I wish I was ambisious enough to have gotten up at night for the lightning as there sure was plenty of that as well.

Some crosses, an old church and this shot would take off. Trick is to get the FG to be as great as the rest of the shot. Good job.
