Mmmm....
what a lovely, sun-kissed, creamy white. I love it.

The light certainly is lovely, isn't it? The flower seems almost to be giving off as much of its own internal radiance as it is receiving from the sun. Love the way the flower seems both strong yet delicate and the way the petals appear to be reaching up to capture the light.
I find myself studying the background, not able to make up my mind completely about the darkness/lightness of it. At the moment, I'm wondering what it would look like a bit darker? (Or maybe it's just the brown leaves that are distracting me??) But I wouldn't want to lose too much of the details there; I like the information in the BG that gives some context to the flower. Will think about this some more, but either way it's a very classy image.

This is one of the last Lotus flowers of the year, not a springtime image, but one takes a few days ago. The leaves are browning as the plants go dormant for the winter.
Thanks for looking.
