The Violinst

She played a short violin intro for Kamelot, fortunately she looked my way all the time, bet the other photographers was a bit envious since they were located at the wrong side of the small walkway which was almost impossible to pass...

WOW amazing image, the violet is very sensual goes perfect with the image and the mask she's wearing.

very interesting attire and light ...almost mystical ...her mask fell off, i wonder if she could see anything ...perhaps hearing is enough! well done Daniel!

Great capture Daniel! You froze the action well with 1/80s. A question - I see you took the image at ISO 1000, did you use any noise reduction? With my E-500 NR would definitely be needed to achieve the image quality you have here.

very nice Daniel; I like it very much... it is very interesting - unusual - the way she is holding the bow;

Thank you Rina for the generous rating and comment, I was lucky to stand on the right side this time to get this and a few other images in the same vein...

You were lucky having her right in front of you. Great details, nice light, the mood comes out perfect!

Thank you dee vee
This was probably the only time in this concert where the light was this good... her mystical attire comes with the music of the band band that is soon to take the stage to the cheers of the crowd... she could definitively see something since she walked off without adjusting the mask, but as you said hearing could be enough...

Thank you for the very generous rating, this was the only time I could achieve such high shutter speeds, discounting the seconds before when I had the same at ISO640 and 800, the rest of the concert I had shutter speeds at 1/10-1/40 at ISOs varying from 1600-3200... For your question, I didn't use any noise reduction other than the default value in Lightroom.

Thank you for your kind comment... I can't tell you about holding the bow since I don't really know how it is usually hold, she is opening for a metal band for which she is also guest singing later in the show...

Thank you for your generous rating and comment, I am quite pleased with how the details came out on this, the E-3 works quite well in low light I would say... The violinist shots were for me the best from the concert since the light was close to awful during the rest of it... I liked the mood when she came on stage alone, one could enjoy the violin and feel the anticipation amongst the crowd...

Thanks Daniel for the reply - perhaps I do need to get E-3 for my theatre shooting!

I find this image very appealing... the smokey soft violet lighting adds to the mystery behind the mask... I think I hear "Cats" playing in the background.
