LOL I love this and I'm glad that you re-worked it given that I missed the first one.

It could be a scene from a Monthy Python movie and I love this experience of it!

On another level this could possibly be a take on the current monthly competition Money Money Money as a form of divine retribution for the hideous financial global situation that certain greedy people have got us all into.

Great one on every level for me. I love the image and its treatment.

yes this is much more effective. I like Eugene's humorous thought linking this to the financial turmoil and seeing some Monty Python quality in this (although I do not agree with Eugene's view that turmoil is caused by the greed of "certain" people implying for me a low number of people. I'd rather think that the heart of the matter lies a) mostly in the greed of great masses of people spending much more than they could afford and b) in misjudgement by those who lend them money and c) by the misjudgement of those who thought that the associated risks could be mitigated by bundling them and d) by those who bought these risks at a much too high price not knowing at all what they were actually buying. Then there is e) the rating agencies who without actually knowing what they were rating echoed the prospectuses of the sellers of those risks which the sellers preferred to call "assets"). Sorry, Martin, I digressed, but the picture is thought provoking.

Still ...

a good one, Martin. From the discussion it should go to the money competition :-))

Best wishes,

Wow! This certainly provoked some thoughts.

Thanks Eugene and George. Love the Monty Python link. I'm a great fan, so maybe there was some subconscious thought in that direction. the money link is quite plausible.

Klaus: certainly stimulated some deep thought there.

Vaggelis; glad you like it.

Horst, Geno: I have to enter it!

Cheers

Klaus

I totally agree with your widening of the term 'certain'!! I was getting ready to go out when I wrote that comment so was being a bit economical with words. Yes you are right across the board for sure.

I liked the first one and really like the composition of this one even more. Not so sure about the green tint which seems to have resulted in posterization in the sky.

Thanks, Nigel. There is a slight sepia tint to the overal image. I don't se a green tint in the sky on my monitor (or print). But I'm not fully calibrated.

Just caught this one Martin. Brilliant! I love the whole feel of this one and it also made me smile (which is always nice). The cathedral by itself is a pretty good shot but the bodies transform it into something exceptional.

Thanks for looking and your rating, Adrian. It was the juxtaposition of the 'real' and 'unreal' that attracted me to this scene in the forst place.

Just great!

That is just excellent..!

I can't believe you just happened to be at the right place at the right time with your 7-14mm?!

Oh my! :-)

Thanks, Kenny. It was not quite pure luck as I was following a group of street performers at the time, trying to anticipate what they might do (they didn't know either). But spotting them in the first place was pure luck.

Great social commentary - if only in my own mind. The mark of a good piece of art - so many thoughts and interpretations by so many. Well done.
