Up close and abstract ;)

I could not agree more with John on this one Eugene, you have a great subject that you shot marvellously. But it will have a higher impact up close so the tree can touch the frame in different points, something you still can do with some cropping.

You first have to have a "valid" shot before you can do anything wit it, and this one is ;))

Best..

Hi guys.

Thanks for your comments and appreciation. I accept what you say although this is the image I wanted from this shoot. I hope to go back and get some closer shots and finer detail images but I particularly like this image myself and appreciate you liking it too.

Best..

Eugene

Shades of Edward Weston

But he'd have been closer up, too. Go back!

I am looking forward

to more of this.

The B&W rendition is well done. The lighting on the bark emphasises the texture.

The background does detrract from the majesty of the tree.

I love the "Random Image" window that allows me to go back and see photos posted in the past that I have not had the opportunity to comment/rate.

I like this one the way it is!
