Absolutely fantastic Bruce. Beautiful image. I love the scene and the whole range of tones you have here. In the composition I love the way the eye is led into the image by the reflection of the cloud lower left. Also in terms of relationships within the image I really like the relationship between the moon and its reflection and those two rocks left and right in the foreground. For me this ties everything nicely together. I'm sure this will make an excellent print. I'd be mighty proud if this were mine!

Fantastic atmosphere.....one of the rare landscape with the ability to recreate the magic.

A wonderful image! It is most excellent to see a straight b&w landscape so well seen and presented. The only niggle I have is miniscule, and something that would go unnoticed when processing but really shows up with a black background such as at this site, are the two dots of white in the lower left corner. An easy fix of a minor distraction.

an excellent capture and presentation as previously refered to. imho it also creates a very strong emotional feeling which I think sets the excellent ones apart.

Was blessed Eugene to have the pass open late this year. At 9000 feet, this usually is snowed in and the road closed due to rock slide danger, then avalanche danger.

Great shot Bruce - it looks almost unreal but extremely attractive. Although the moon is an obvious highlight the landscape by itself is stunning.

Bruce, this is really good.

Compo is well balanced and moon really sets this off. Very good exposure with nothing blown or hidden in shadow. I especially like the reflections.

It was good that this was an early moonrise so that it was not so bright to blow out.

Jeff, it also helps to be up at 9000 feet. If you get up to the White Mountains Bristlecone Trees you will also be at 9000 feet and in the darkest site in the United States for star gazing.

Made some prints today, came out great Doro. Had to wait for the water to settle since it gets windy up there.
