Alone Again
My kids all pointed to this lonely tree in a local farm field as we drove by. With the leaves gone, the colors gone, and the corn gone it was quite a sad sight! Just sitting there, waiting for winter to to catch up with the 20 degree day - if I were to guess it was thinking about all the action that spring will bring it again. The actual photo was so full of similar tones, I chose to play around and apply a light photoshop "sponge" effect; it made the whole image much more cheerful to me...

I'm not sure what was actually there to the right of this image, but if you had the tree in the left of the frame following the rule of thirds, this would be a better image...

Or even if it were to the right of the image - however, if you look at the tree shape etc, it would be better on the left. Could just be my opinion, a gut feeling, I see better imaginary lines coming from it when to the left.
