I'm always taking shots of other things and I've been needing a Bio pic so on my recent trip to Monterey I finally took a photo of myself. It took several shots for me to position myself in the right spot.
Monica's latest shots inspired me to post it although I'm not as pretty as her.

Ahh....
Weren't BRAVE enough, huh? I had DHC on my self portrait....:O)
I'm just teasing--It's very nice to meet you, Jeff from California...wasn't that your image in the Olympus ShowmetheProof contest? What lens did you have on when you drenched your E-3 in saltwater? YIKES!!
This is a very fine self portrait--did you use the live view to position yourself? I like the angle of the rocks and water in the background, and the focus is spot on...good job...:o)

Yes that's my photo on Oly's Showmetheproof!!! I just got the email about the finalists tonight. You have to vote for me unless you have a photo there too.
On my portrait, I used live view and manually focused on the spot where I was crouching.

Oh, I forgot, the lens I was using was the 11-22.
People were watching me and probably thought I was crazy as I was letting myself get hammered by each wave and I would just wipe off the front of the lens and keep shooting.
