very modern looking for the 1800's. I didn't realize that houses were wired for electricity back then, but I remember there was a power plant built in SF in the 1880's. Considering the bright window and detail in the shadows, was this a HDR shot? Cheers

thanks Doug, the electricity could be an upgrade item along the years as well as the lamps and yes this was a 5-shot HDR....cheers ;-)

A very proper application of HDR, Don! I still in lost on how to create an HDR image.., let alone to create a proper one like this!

thanks Yoki, the easy way is to take 3 shots at -+2 EV apart and let Photomatix do the rest including tone mapping.
