It seems as if the plant seek safety. At first I thought it would be better to focus the entire branch, but because it accentuates the grip to the wire. The blur in the background is impressive. I like it. I hope you understand.

before reading your title I have assumed this as a trapeze ... nice image to enjoy!

Don, your title makes the image for me. A beautiful close-up that comes to life with that imagery in mind. (And the BG is truly luscious!)

I like the soft greens and the shallow DOF. Am I looking at last years grape vine?

thanks all for the comments

Doug, it's this year's but perhaps a deficient one

Elisabeth , this thing is a miniature in real life, it takes a macro lens to bring it to life size

Gunawan: funny you used that word for I had posted a similar image on another site and gave it the title 'le trapeziste' which means exactly that in french

Paco , the grip was so intense it's hard to overlook it

Very well spotted Dee Vee - one of the things I like best about this hobby is that it teaches you to look closely at things that other people may not see. I love the way the tendrils on the right look like a little fist.
