LOL, he’s guarding against another possible indian invasion (a reprise of 1970) instead

Good timing on the release of the shutter, it gives clues to the gradient, which is otherwise lost from this point of view.

thanks all for the comments
thanks Chris, you’re right, I got a couple of shots before he’s gone! ;-)

I like how he seems to be in a spotlight. Is that because of the post-processing?

thanks Jimmy, you used the right word, is in the spotlight, as I intended with some help from Lightroom and CS5 ;-)

I like this photo, also!
The post processing is very good and the idea also.
Good job about Alcatraz... :-)

Like the POV and the starkness... probably hasn't changed that much since being occupied...

Great image all around, esp shooting down. You mentioned CS5. I went from 2 to 4 and am now using LR3 and CS4. Is 5 worth the upgrade? I still haven't gotten to using all the features of 4 yet - eg smart objects.

thanks Geno ...i find LR3 slower than LR2 so went back to LR2; as to CS5 the best feature is the context sensitive cloning, if that's worth the upgrade to you by all means do it, it saves me lots of time so far; supposedly HDR and pano are better but I use Nik HDR instead (even better than Photomatix) and hardly use pano stitching ... cheers, ;-)
