It was a bit awkward to get a shot in including the town hall and the web. While keeping dry in a shop doorway, with a cold spouse, tugging at my sleeve, as it were, like a 4 year old.

I think if you're going to use white to separate the images, you need to have a white frame around the whole composition as well. Otherwise the side-ways T in white is foregrounded too much.
