happy fourth to you as firecrackers started to crack around my neighborhood! one of the more clever 4th shot! we don't have cicadas here so thanks for bringing back the memories from the green years in wash dc .... cheers ;-)

good shot, I haven't seen a bug like that recently. The boomers are starting to fire up here and I just the barge drift by for the local professional display which doesn't start for an hour yet. The big stuff is downtown but you would be crazy to go there. A war zone.

I didn't realize that there were no cicada's in CA. I guess it's the eastern hardwoods that attract them. They can be a pest in the yard, but the birds love them so I let them alone. Hope you had a great 4th. :-)

Same here Clay - the fireworks are beautiful, but it is a zoo to attend and get a good viewpoint. This year we had thunderstorms and most of the displays didn't even start until 10:30. Cheers
