Oh, very nice. I love the contrast of the muscular trees with the fine looking house in the distance.

If those were oak trees, this would remind me of the long driveways into many of the old southern plantations. The very light BG really helps focus your eyes on the subject, and the white house at the end is almost a bonus. Well seen. :-)

I am guessing Doug likes the blown sky because he has been doing some of the same. Blown skies make me think of nuclear events like the Russian testing Tsar Bomba. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwlNPhn64TA

... on the other hand, high key images are justifiable on aesthetic grounds, not suggesting otherwise. But for some of us bright white empty space is distracting. A matter of taste.

Sorry about that Clay - was thinking of Charles when I hit the reply button.

no problem ...
Doug & DV,
I've been in confrontational frame of mind every since my encounter at library on thursday evening. Nearest thing to being robbed I have experienced so far. Don't mean to take it out on all friendly MFT people. I really don't subscribe to any notion of aesthetic absolutes. Used to have a neighbor who did however but she is long gone. I actually like high key works like traditional Japanese art, just don't any of my own.
Cheers. CSB

thanks all for the comments
I don't like blown skies either but I'd give this exception since it was the heavy fog you're seeing here and not blue sky as you'd expect ... certainly not russian nuclear blast ... cheers ;-)

Always like tunnels of trees, they seem to suck you in. Nice shot.
