"Thames Geese"

Copyright ©2005, Mark Irving ¤

One of the first shots taken with the Zuiko 50-200 the day I got it. I'm not experienced with telephoto lenses or photographing birds.

The original jpg was sharp but murky green and underexposed.

I kept looking at it thinking there was a photograph in there somewhere. I eventualy found it by converting to greyscale and adding diffuse glow.

Taken on the Toll bridge at Pangbourne. I had just switched the E1 on when these geese flew by. It was a lift and shoot job.

Thanks

Not having any experience in this genre I greatly appreciate the advice. Thanks to all.

The composition is great and well-balanced. I find the grains in this B&W convertion very appealing.
