Hey, haven't I seen this somewhere? I really like this, the pink only seems a bit to pink to me, and DOF might be a bit larger. But as for impact / composition just great!

Beautiful color and I love the composition. I too would like enough DOF so the whole of each, but you would have needed a tripod. How did you get it so sharp at 1/80 and 200 (400 Equiv) without one?

I love the composition too and I guess you used the lense that you did to get the background the way you wanted it. Or were you restricted for access?
Either way I think you've managed to hold the beast a lot steadier than I would have managed.

I've seen these three marching guys with boots and Napoleon hats before, but then they were accompanied with three ladies. :-) I like them both and this crop (it is a crop, isn't it?) is better than I would have thought it would be (as one often loose details when cropping a lot).

Caroline, I took this as a separate image on the day so its not a crop. Just didn't get around to posting it!
Chris and Frank I just about held it with a lot of breath holding and yes I used it deliberately for the dof.
Michael I kind of agree with you. I forgot to bring my tripod with me and I daren't go any lower on the speed as I just could not have held it steady!
