spotted this snail blowing bubbles while out on a walk

this is a shot of the boat sheds on lindisarne (holy island) northumberland. the sheds are upturned hulls of old boats turned into storage sheds for the local fishermen on the island

on this picture i used two layer masks one to bring out the rocks but keep the skys colour and the second to darken the sky and then used the gradient tool to slowly mask between foreground and background.

an experiment over the weekend placed a handfull of leaves in a glass dish filled with water and placed in freezer overnight with this one i placed it on cooker for side lighting and turned on halogen hob to produce red underglow

first try out with cheap extension tubes from ebay (£10) you have little dof and focus in manual but for a tenner :)
