Being the only son of a news photographer, I was exposed to photography at a very young age. My first real camera was a Leica. This was my fathers backup camera which he gave me shortly after he invested in Nikon equipment. I shot a lot of Tri-X film with that camera as well as with a Nikon while I was growing up. After a four year stint in the Navy, I enrolled in a two-year course of photography at Daytona Beach Community College. Upon graduation, other events in my life prevented me from pursueing photography as a career. Now, more that 30 years later, that spark has been rekindled. I' m looking forward to relearning some of the skills I've lost over the years. What a wonderful community this website has brought together. I look forward to the friendship and camaraderie of everyone here. |
