I first went digital with an Olympus C-3000 that we bought in 2001 for a 17 day trip to Ireland. What a great experience to get familiar with a camera. I quickly grew out of the C-3000 though. Not fast enough and not enough zoom. My frustration peaked when I repeatedly missed shots of slow moving classic cars in a parade because of the shortcomings of my non-SLR camera. Obtaining the E-1 at the end of 2003 was a great solution. I have been using this camera almost daily since then and am learning more about the camera and photography all the time. I added another E-1 off eBay earlier this year (2008) to keep two lenses active at all times. What a luxury. The second E-1 was MUCH less expensive than the first one!! I love to go for a walk when I have a few minutes to spare and find interesting photo-ops as they present themselves, it doesn't matter where. The waterfront here in San Diego is a favorite spot. But air shows, car races, moto races, boat races, horse races, baseball games....I can't get enough of photographing these type of events. http://trwestphotography.zenfolio.com/
